Little Fashion Bird

I recently wrote up a post on American Apparel’s lame leggings. Sadly, I still have yet to head on over there and try them on for size…never got the chance to. Although, after scanning through their fairly new arrivals, I couldn’t help but plant my eyes on their faux denim (ahem!) high-waisted leggings. Oh man, do I love any and all things HIGH-WAISTED! There’s just something incredibly body-flattering about this style, and I adore them for that. They do absolutely serve as a sweet fashion staple for every lady’s wardrobe when made with quality and a good choice of fabric. And these particular ones have a very sexy 1950’s Pin-Up Girl aura to them, don’t you think? I’m channeling a Betty Page meets studious college girl kind of vibe. Picture these pants tucked with a crisp plaid blue buttoned-down, or possibly something seersucker, thick-framed reading glasses, pouty shanghai-red lips, and some cute vintage pumps. How cool is that? Now I can happily say that I have more of an incentive to hit up AA this week. I’m just hoping the faux denim doesn’t appear too, too faux…as in borderline cheapy.
